I recently acquired a 4 inch Stainless Taurus 608 revolver. Man, all I can say is WOW. This thing is MASSIVE! It looks so badass too with the porting. As I was inspecting it, I noticed a few things..
1. Its a "4 inch" barrel, but as I looked in there, it looks like the rifling stops where the ported section starts. So is it really a 3 inch barrel with 1 inch of porting or is my logic flawed?
2. The trigger is NICE. I read that its a hand fitted action and trigger, and the single action pull is SOOOO short and SOOO light. In double action I swear I can feel the trigger "break". Am i crazy?
I am really happy with it. This is my first Taurus revolver, and even though I have heard/read bad things, the quality seems almost on par with S&W. In the pics below you can see it dwarfing my Smith and Wesson K frame model 15. I havent shot it yet but I plan to soon. Im guessing since it weighs so much AND its ported that recoil with 357 wont be bad at all. Anyway, I am happy with this revolver so far
