Been a Glock & Taurus fan many years . Range report as of Saturday My G 3 out performed my Glock in every way except I like finger grooves .10 & 20 yards G3 Groupings were tighter 3-4 inch .I regularly carry Glock 43X or My Newley acquired Ruger LCP Max 380 or the wife's newly acquired Charter Arms 22lr lightweight !

The Taurus has a thumb safety. Wouldn't have the Glock if you gave it to me. Done.

I recognize I'm in the minority here, but better accuracy for the Taurus is just icing on the cake to me.

The G series are the comeback firearms for Taurus. A lot of people will not even whisper the word Taurus....I was one till I bought a G2c, then a G3c and still own a G3..all very good and have gone side by side with my Glocks 43x and Glock 19 firearms. I do not abuse or do the stupid firearm torture tests you find on YouTube, but I have shot the G3 more often with out cleaning it and used some cheap a__ ammo that I would not buy again to use in any of my other 9mm firearms The G3 is the full size and just fits my hand perfect. I installed a KeepTiinkering Flat trigger and made it even better. Not for everyone, especially someone that knows nothing about one but has heard all the bad things, or

from someone coming into a LGS wanting to trade it in on a gun that their friends will not make fun of them for owning.

Well, Glocks are not "inaccurate " weapons. Their triggers make them more difficult to shoot to achieve that accuracy. Much the same way that 1911 triggers make them easier to shoot accurately. Go to a pistol match and see how many competitors have problems with them
Safeties, that's a preference/ training issue. You'll have a hard time showing handguns that dont have safeties are unsafe.
I've never touched a taurus G series. Nothing against them and at some point I'll probably buy one.
But to say that a G3 is just as good as a glock much less better than a Glock G19 is absolutely comically funny....
You need about 30 years of track record as a Military, LEO, GOVT issue and being literally the most popular firearm on the planet and one of the top carry guns of all time. And being the compact handgun that set the reliability standard. THEN we can talk about it being just as good or better. Good luck.

Okay I will take the bait.
I have neither, never shot either, and no plans for either.
To say something new cant be as good or better than something that has been successful for a few decades is a bit interesting.

Mr Walton? I would like to introduce you to Mr. Sears, Mr. Roebuck, and Mr. Kresge.

I can only really compare the G3c to the G26, but Taurus overall did a better job with ergonomics and sights. Glock also insists on Apple-esque quirks like a proprietary rail and unusual grip angle. The G19 vs G3 mostly has history and reliability going in its favor. The G on the slide isn't worth nothing. Being the King just has a lot of advantages when customers shop for holsters and upgrades like triggers.

Comparing triggers I get what people mean when they say they don't like the Taurus trigger, but it's so far from a "bad" trigger that I can't understand telling someone that's looking for a cheap gun, "Don't get the G3 because of the trigger."

The G3 series also has advantages if you're just trying to put the savings into other parts of a build. If a cheap pistol gets you a nicer AR the relative value must be considered. Likewise, if a more expensive pistol means a cheaper optic, the G3 has a case for itself, although considerable Turkish competition.

I have a G3 and a G19 Gen 5 and have done quite a bit of side-by-side shooting with them.

Both have their pros and cons.....the G3 does have the edge in ergonomics being thinner than the Glock and just having a better feel in my hand. I also like the wide trigger on the G3. As for trigger break and reset the Glock wins....Glock has really upped their game with the Gen 5 trigger being far superior to the previous generations. That mile long pre-travel on the G3 is hard to like.

Glock has also gone to a1913 style rail on the Gen 5, though I wish it had more than one slot, so I'd still give the edge to the G3 here.

The biggest knock I have on the G3 is it is finicky about hollow-points, not bad it's no jam-o-matic but it seems to have a failure to feed once in a great while when shooting HPs. I upgraded to a black nDLC barrel and a Lakeline RSA and that definitely helped...but still every once in a while a FTF with HPs.

That that is why the G19 is my EDC...it eats any and everything without any issues. If I did ever carry the G3 it would probably be with FMJ...it's been a 100% with ball ammo.

When we have compared the Glock 43X along side the GX4, we all felt the Glock was not the best shooter. Nothing to do with trigger. These are not target guns. What we felt was that the gun with a lot of shots fired through it, was ," twangy" or just seemed to have a vibration to it. The GX4 a lot more stable shooter, perhaps due to the long rails. Better recoil and muzzle flip control. Just a smoother gun. The ability to add a backstrap is somthing most guns should have in the future. Glock needs to look at the new PSA Dagger. They figured out that the Glock needed a new grip. Lol, maybe Glock will clone the Dagger.

Compared to the Glocks, the Taurus G3 has much superior ergonomics in my hand for sure. I have a Gen 4 Glock 22 which has been an excellent pistol except that it tends to shoot to the left a bit. The beauty of the Glocks is the variety of spare parts and aftermarket accessories. I carry my Glock as part of a Church Protection/Rapid Response Team where I am a Team Leader. Originally, we had Security Teams (I'm still a Licensed Security Officer) and the head of training and logistics wanted everyone on 9mm Glocks (if possible) rather than the various calibers and pistol makes we all were carrying. A lot of the guys switched to the Taurus G3 and do very well with the platform; some carry G3cs and do very well on range quals with them. We have to supply our own gear, and the Glocks were cost prohibitive, except under the Blue Gun First Responders Program. As Licensed Security Officers, we qualified. I just dropped a 9mm barrel in my G22 and bought some spare magazines. Same gun, sights, trigger, etc. It works great! I still love how the Taurus feels in my hand. It points naturally and is accurate with most ammo brands. Keep it clean and properly lubed and it will run smoothly.

EVERY Taurus striker-fired pistol I own......(and I have a LOT)......ALL shoot 6" LOW at 10 yards.....

My SIGS? Dead on....

My Glocks? Dead on......

....I actually went as far as shaving 1/16 of an inch off the front sight on my PT 111 Millenium G2....just to get the thing ON PAPER.

It shoots just fine....but I'd be in the dirt at 20 yards.

Ergos mean zip if you can bench shoot a pistol and can't hit where you are aiming.....

.....and NO....I'm not selling my Taurus pistols! I still love them!

Not a fan of "versus" type thinking or threads, but since it's already created...

I've shot about 2000 rounds through my Glock 17 without issue. My G3C went back to the factory for repair before I fired one round from it. I'm really not a fan of Glock, and at one point swore I'd never own one. But that's my experience.
