I didn’t ask that. I go by the stamped logo. But I have noticed that they are most always before 1990. And with that I question the metallurgy. Will it handle +P ammo?
The early bull logos look like cows 😂🤣

I will list some tips to estimate the year of production Taurus revolvers.
Taurus logo:
1949-1973 - Around the bull head (Hereford), words Taurus and Brasil has the same size and type of letter.
1973 -1981 - Taurus word has big letters and Brasil small letters.
1981-1996 - Hereford bull are replaced by Miura bull (with bigger horns).
1996 - Brasil word was suppressed from the logo.
Mainspring: Flat up to 1960, coil type after that year.
Grooved flutes: Used up to 1978.
Hammer-mounted firing pin: used only in .32 S&W Long and .38 Special calibers. Up to 1981 in .32 S&W Long and May, 1980 for .38 Special. Other calibers always used frame-mounted firing pin.
Barrel retaining pin: Abolished in May, 1984.
Serial numbers preceeded by two letters:
FIRST letter means the YEAR, beginning with A in 1981 to Z in 2006. Returned to A in 2007, changing the second letter for month.
SECOND letter means the MONTH. A to L between 1981-2006. M to X from 2007.
Care must be taken with the extractor rod thread. Up to 1970´s, it was a normal thread (clockwise to tighten). In the beginning of 1980s, models changed in different dates for an inverted thread (clockwise to loosen).
