Since Taurus has not chosen to create a compact 1911 yet, what manufacturers make a compact 1911?

Springfield, Colt, Kimber, RIA just to name a few, I carry a Springer Micro Compact Lt.Wgt. BiTone Loaded model everyday in a HBE leatherworks Com3 IWB

Try the springfield EMP or the Para Nitehawg. you will not be disapointed.

I've got a Para Ord Blackwatch Companion and it's a great one for CCW except for the fact that its great looks are wasted on concealed carry. It's a single stack LDA which may or may not be a plus to some.

Since Taurus surprised us with a .38Super and 9mm, PT1911, I bet a compact is in the future at some time.

I would love to see a lightweight commander series. The short grips on the compacts just don't fit my hand.

Roger that-

I have a Sig C3 that would probably be my favorite 1911, if it were a true "Commander" size, but the "Compact" grip length just doesn't feel right.

I"ve tried the X-Grip adapters, but they don't fit the bill, either.

High Standard makes one called a Crusader Compact and if memory serves me well, it was a nice gun for a sub-$500 price. I should have grabbed it when I could. Hard to find now. The reviews online have all been very positive.
