Are OG Taurus PT99 Grip Panels Compatible with Old Barretta 92S (heel Mag Release)

Hi, I am new to this forum and just got myself old Taurus PT99 (First gun)

Been looking for thinner/rougher replacement grip panels for my Taurus PT99 (Euro/heel mag release) and was wondering if it will use the relatively available Barretta 92S grip panels (also heel mag release)? I have small and disgustingly sweaty hands which make the smooth wood panel hard to use after some time. This is sad because I really love the wood and steel looks of the gun.

If it is compatible, can anyone recommend thinner/rougher replacement grip panels for this pistol?

They are not interchangeable.
The newer grips do not have the mag release cutout at the bottom rear of the left panel.

After doing some more research, I want to correct myself....Would it works with original 92 grips? I just realized that my grip looks identical to original 92 (heel mag release and frame mount safety cut).
