Thinking of an option to the bag I’ve been using for 25-50 yds.

Not my gun, would not be my choice. But different strokes.

Having a common mounting standard is important in the firearms world.

It's fun to attach something just because it fits. I once installed a rifle scope on my Ruger MkII .22 LR, just because I could. It was a fun experiment for target shooting. Eye relief was the problem. Soon after that, I bought an early red dot optic. It's still on my MkII.

Post pictures of your targets with various equipment.

After some searching, I found this picture from 2003.

Have fun and laugh. I did. This was a fun experiment that eventually became the pistol above. My Ruger MkII went through numerous mods to get to this level. The giant red dot is fun in a vintage charm way. I may replace it with a modern, small case, 3 MOA dot.

This was the scope I bought for my Remington 700 muzzle loader. I installed it on my MkII just because I could. I verified that the eye relief was sufficient to prevent the slide from hitting my face.

Don't have pictures convenient, but I'm mounted Vortex Crossfires on two Ruger Chargers. My Pistol Team uses them to shoot the Silhouette course of fire. 1/2 scale animal targets: chickens at 40 yards, pigs at 60 yards, turkeys at 77 yards and rams at 100 yards. No rest, no bipod, and no bracing. It's a challenge.
