Hi all,
I love my 850, but a little nicer trigger pull would make it great. I wonder if this Wilson set would work on the 850? http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=573848
They say the 85, which is almost the same gun except a concealed hammer. Any thoughts?

I think it might be a problem - the 'hammerless' hammer will be somewhat lighter (lower striking mass) and a change of spring might not work. Same reason gunsmiths don't like to 'bob' a spurred hammer.

Yeah I thought maybe the hammer spring might not work. But thought the trigger spring might.

any one use them on a regular Model 85? I'm thinking about getting them for my plain Jane steel 85.

I don't need any lighter spring in my M85, already a fantastic DA trigger.

There's only one way to find out for sure if it'll work, try it. I'd suggest if it'll cap CCI primers, it'll cap anything. LOL

My DA is also pretty nice....I guess if ain't broken, don't fix it. I'll leave it alone.

Leaving it alone is probably the right thing to do. My 85CH had a heavy trigger, but after usung it for a lot of fun practice things wore to a nice trigger pull.

Putting snap caps in and repetition trigger pulling from 500-1000 times (not all at one time obviously) should smooth things out and lighten the pull a bit.
