Amen!!! This guy clearly had a bad case of Dumba$$ syndrome, I mean most people who have CHL's have had classes in how to clear a weapon and store it properly. 2) Why show a weapon to a bunch young adults that can't even buy guns yet in a church where there are young-ans running around? 3) When handling a weapon it should always be pointed at the ground and cleared first before anything, but inside there's still a chance of ricochet off the hard concrete floor so if there's 30 people in a room it would be best to step outside then show the weapon. ( I know I am not saying anything you all don't already know how to do) I just don't mind typing this stuff out to remind myself not to be a Dumba$$. I agree that complacency can be deadly with anything not just handguns, and there is no room for being presumptuous and thinking that nothing bad will ever happen. This is pure negligence and this type of stuff will destroy the CCW movement.
Perhaps a church closet is not the best place to be showing a weapon to people and if you do not know how to properly handle a weapon, such as how to clear a weapon, then you should not be owning or carrying a weapon.
The use of weapons is serious business, there is no room for complacent fools amongst us.
When you pick up the weapon, put down your ego.
