What do you think of these handgun ammo prices? http://www.classicarms.us/ammunition.htm

Those are good prices. Wolf has always made cheap ammo and it shoots great through my 9mm 24/7. The only thing I don't like is it seems to leave a bigger mess inside my gun compared to other ammos. If you just want practice ammo and dont mind spending a little extra time cleaning I would get it.
In my SKS and AKs it seems to leave a lot of unburned powder. Is that what it looks like in your 9mm?
Dirtiest ammo I ever used. Then started to reload my own.

Yep. Never has caused any problems though just a pain to clean.
I've never had any problems with it either though only shoot it in abundance in .223 & 7.62x39. When I want cheap & somewhat clean handgun ammo, I go with CCI Blazer aluminum.

Yesterday I bought 300rds of winchester 9mm target rounds for like $18 per 100, at walmart. Right at the same price and it seems to be A LOT less dirty then the other cheap ammo.
I'd get some, but the range I use won't allow it. The concensus is that they'd rather not sift through the casings to separate the brass from the steel.

Do you happen to have any shipping info from this dealer? I can't seem to find anything on thier website, or even an email address.
not bad, definately cheaper then i can get locally.. i can get wwb for 9bucks a 50rnd box, but i gotta buy a case..

that wolf comes out to 7.50 a 50 rnd box.. not bad, wonder how much the shipping would eat into the 40 dollar difference per 1k.

honestly i've never shot aluminum or steel cased ammo, i have heard some warn of extra wear especially on the extractor when shooting steel case ammo.. dunno..

the bad part is aluminum and steel neither are reloadable.

You have to call your orders in with them. I ordered an AK from them 2 years ago and shipping was cheap but that may have changed.
if that's the steel laquered case, i've heard bad things about the gum up the laquer causes. doesn't bother an ak, but an ar hates it from what i've heard. i ran one 20 rnd box once, it all fired ok, but i never did anymore.
The older Wolf ammo had the lacquered cases as do some of the other steel cased Russian ammo. I agree, I won't run that stuff in anything not of Soviet origin (AK, SKS, Makarov etc).

Most of the stuff now is powder coated not lacquered so it hasn't been an issue for me. And I've run just about 200rds of it through my AR so far.

Steelheart
Does anyone know what difference there is between the Wolf in the black box compared to Wolf Military Classic, other than the bullet size? Natchez has them a little cheaper, but they are out of stock. Didn't know it there are any other differnces between the two.

Don't know the difference. I have always used the black box stuff. Just got back from shooting 50 rds. through the 9mm. and 50 through the .40. It shoot well.
i was reffering to 5.56, don't know about pistol ammo
I just picked up another 2,000 rds. 1,000 9mm, 550 .40 S&W, and 450 .45 ACP. I got it at Gander Mt. Prices per 50 $7.95 for 9mm, 10.95 for .40 and 12.95 for .45. I bought all the .40 and .45 they had. $425
