Noticed a lot of mentions to flying on many threads, so would like to see what we have for pilots here. I did my ground school in '71, but failed the physical because of one eye. I now can get the Light Sport Pilot license, which I'm hoping to get this summer. Who else flies?

I've riden on 1 plane since 9/11. I like to drive so I can go at my own pace and stop whenever I want.

I'm getting toward the end of the trail, sort of like the drooping Indian and his horse...only I got no horse.

I'm planning to go to a local airport and rent an hour with instructor who will let me fly the plane at my age. This will give me some memories of what it was like in my younger days of having a pilot license and medical certificate.

Learned to fly on a dirt strip in 65 hp tail draggers, largest I ever flew was 165 hp Beechcraft Musketeer...nose wheely bird, nice.
