When I joined the forum I figured there'd b all kinds of owners of like colored weapon. I C there are lot's of pt145 owners here but NO others who have the OD green(?) model so far, based on the pic's rollin in. Am I just the coolest 8) cat in town, or what (LOL)? Please, someone, set me straight and tell me it's not a rarity. Pic's, please, if'n ya got em.
Also,I am NOT absolutely sure this is actually OD GREEN. It's just the color I assumed (u know what Benny said bout that) it 2 b, at first. There was no indication on the packaging pertaining to it's manufactured color. I went to taurus website to check what color they call it on the 24/7, but nothin there. In all honesty now I believe it to b a shade lighter, like a dark earth tan. Any gay dudes or artists out there? They'd know. I know this seems like a trivial endevour, but it's been eatin at me ???. I've never owned an off colored gun before, but I really like it. I just hope I dont drop it in the woods, I'll never find it (heehee).

The color of the model you have may not have been out long enough for more than a handful of people to aquire them. Or it might just be the tastes of owners are going the other way and figure something else in color is their cup of tea.

Hard to say at this juncture.

Ahaaa! Draegger answered the colored part, unbenownst to him, in another thread. It is desert tan.Seems rather dark 4 that, but I'll accept that answer. Maybe I'll never be an electrician. Now, let me revise my question. R there any other pt145 owners in desert tan on this forum? Maybe that'll change things. Ask me not why this is even a question...I wore a pickle suit for 7.5 years riding around in OD green vehicles :.

the more I look at it the more I'm inclined to agree with Draegger, more of a desert color. Every time I look at it, it seems a different color. The light seems to have that affect on it. My avatar appears desert in color, but that's with some light adjustment. This pic is adjusted slightly as well. I guess I'd have to have a high end cam to capture it properly 4 u folks.

You know the first gen mil. before the pro's came out, they made a light gray one like the old sigma's.

The dark grey one isn't too bad. But yea, don't know about the light one. Seems impractical for grime and such. Did u get the images from the internet or are those your weapons?

Hey Skid, I have the tan in a PT111. I had the choice to get the stainless but I chose the tan because it blends in to my skin better than the black handle. It does look really cool and different too.

nice, i too like the OD Green, I have the PT140pro in the OD Green and i love it!!! Ive had several comments on it also. It has made me look very closely at my next purchase for target/competition? I am really leaning towards a OD green frame for my next full size.

they kinda grow on ya don't they, TeamZen? Does your's look OD green or Desert Tan? Personally I think it's somewhere in between. Lookin 4 a full size? Try the 24/7, comes in the same color as far as I can tell and supposedly shoots pretty well. Lets c a pic.

ahhh i see your point now, it actually isn't OD green. but like like Skid lid said somewhere between green and the Desert Tan. Well I haven't actually compaired my pt 140 to the new 24/7 OSS to see if they are the same, has anyone? or to the other colored poloymers on the market but I still like my Taurus!! ;D

aaaahhhh!!! I c some sleight variations, but basically the same design. I like that darkened center side grip. Those guyz at Taurus must change their designs by the month. Both 3rd gen...but rails on one and not the other. No wonder their catalog guys dont keep up the images, it changes too fast for them. It looks like there's another cooool cat in town ;D

SkidLid the Black on my grips is my homemade inserts. after trying a Houge slip on that (sliped off more than not) and pricing the ones ive found in the store, I had this product at home i had purchaced for a diferent project and said WTF? ill try it. and so far so good.. looks great!! my wife was the same as you, (i did'nt notice the black stuff on the grips when you bought it) it really looks and feels great. I may try to market it on ebay and a few local shops if i can come up with a plan. SkidLid if you would like to do some "market/field research" MSG me, and ill see about getting you a set. i hope this doesnt violate any forum rules. if so it's unintentional.
