I think most of us have seen the Biden gun control wish list. Anything he considers to be an assault weapon being subject to the National Firearms Act and treated the same as a full auto weapon requiring another background check and fingerprinting for each weapon you retain. Obviously this is aimed at the ARs, AKs, Mini-14s and who knows what else. Also each of those you intend to keep would require a $200 fee along with another $200 fee for each magazine with a capacity above 10 rounds. The last time I heard him speak on this subject he was very careful not to call it a tax, but rather a much more friendly sounding "fee". In his world violators would be subject to ten years in federal prison and a $10,000 fine. You would however have the option to sell the gun to the federal government. I haven't heard what the plans are for magazines that are over the 10 round limit, if they would also be bought or just be required to be turned in. I'm still up in the air as to how he presumes to accomplish this. Whether it's done through actual legislation, through regulation changes or just using his phone and pen. It's beginning to look more and more likely that we failed to stop him at the voting booth, but we still have hopes of stopping his plans if we can retain the needed seats in the Senate and then there is always the judiciary which hopefully would prevent his wish list from coming true. One other thing I heard was that he wanted to reinstate the "assault weapons ban" of the Clinton years.
I think we're going to have a real fight on our hands and was curious as to what you all thought might be the outcome. I'm hoping we can get a discussion going on a subject that might affect quite a few of us.

But, if it's law that is not struck down by the SCOTUS then if one chances to be apprehended with an "illegal" firearm in their possession, then the ax will fall and that person becomes the test case which may have their name enshrined in legal parlance forever.

It's not just the pandemic, there are a lot of 'fences' he wants to mend with other countries, not to mention G20, the UN, the WHO etc. Will he ever get around to gun controls? well I just know that around here virtually all of the gun violence is done by law abiding citizens and they are generally using assault type weapons to kill each other and innocent citizens, so I think this will go a long way toward stopping all this senseless violence and killing!

Is this a money grab? A back door registration? A gun grab? Or is it possibly all three? If they truly believe that these guns are a real danger in the hands of law abiding citizens why are they not being confiscated? Does paying a $200 fee make them safer somehow? I don't own semi-automatic rifles for hunting or target shooting. I have better rifles for those things. Statistics prove that this isn't about crimes being committed with these rifles, it's about their fear of an armed public being able to fight back against left wing government tyranny.

I think we've lost the White House for sure. If we lose the senate, things are going to get really bad, really fast, like, by the end of 2021. We would have enough legislation put through to effectively neuter the 2nd amendment, and they won't care if it gets past SCOTUS or not. And, even Scalia said that "reasonable legislation" is constitutional. The word reasonable is entirely debatable.

Pray that we retain one of the Georgia senate seats, and that Sen. Collins and Sen. Romney don't turn on us too often.

It does not matter that you don't own a semi auto, if we don't stick together eventually they will try to take away all our guns.
Remember that there was a time that semi auto firearms were ok. Now people like most of the democraps want your semi auto firearms. Joe has even said that he wants you 9mm pistols as that is what the military uses. All those pistols that are 9mm is what will be next. Then kamalama will whisper in Joe's ear and .45 and 30.06 and .223 and 5.56.
This is not about registering weapons or collecting money, this is about control over the people.
Power over the people.
Ultimately this is all about controlling money and who has it. If you have money and you don't fit their ideal they will tax you and take your money. And too bad you have no recourse we took your guns.

The Senate won't be involved in the BATF reclassifying guns unless there is specific legislation that prohibits them from doing it. I don't believe there is such legislation that prohibits them from putting any new guns on the banned list. They just added bump stocks to the banned list, and there was no Congressional action required. THIS is the administrative state.

This . i think it already been planned. if harris becomes prez, we gun owners will be in for the fight of our lives when it comes to our second amendment rights.
