Obama care...

Doctors reveal their true feelings about Obamacare at the latest AMA meeting:

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had a sort of a gut feeling about it, but the neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all labouring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted.

The Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Paediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.

The Surgeons were fed up with the cuts and decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.

The ENT(Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat) specialists didn't swallow it, and just wouldn't hear of it. The

Pharmacologists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter...."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Anaesthetists thought the whole idea was a gas, but the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the *******s in Washington!

Wonder why the AMA and the AOA Endorsed Obama care then.
Unfortunately, organized medicine's leaders are usually cloaked progressives. I, and every internist in our town, resigned our membership in the ACP (American College of Physicians - the governing body for the specialty of Internal Medicine) the day after they came out in favor of Hillary's health plan back in the mid-90s. They actually claimed that "after polling the membership . ." and "finding an overwhelming majority in favor it 'it'" they elected to back it. I had been a dues paying, card carrying member of the ACP for ~ 10 years at that time and neither myself nor my colleagues had ever seen any such poll. As I stated, we all resigned our membership the next day. Has nothing to do with our board certification, just meant we weren't paying dues any longer - basically a vote of non-support for the leadership of the organization.

AMA, AOA and all other medical organized bodies work the same - there are usually POLITICIANS in the leadership positions.

The AMA got a black eye back in the late 80s and early 90s when they came out in support of (and actually endorsed) Sunbeam brand medical products. Glucose monitors, etc. BUT, and ya gotta know there was a big but back there since I mentioned it, the leaders at that time took kickbacks for their endorsement, were found out and quickly booted.

Hope that helps shed some light on how medicine's organized societies work . . .

Sorry, aero, didn't mean to hijack your FF submission with a serious comment - just answerin' a question

The AMA wasn't the only organization to sell America out AARP was in there also.

The presentation was interesting though.
