Excuse my ignorance on the subject, but I am not super familiar with the 24/7 but have seen and handled a few. But I have never seen an OSS.

What are the main differences between the current generation of 24/7s and the OSS other than the length of the barrel?

I don't own a 24/7 Gen 2 so can't answer that!
I do know the Gen 2 grip Is different, the gen 2 Is DA /SA and the gen 1 is SA/DA.
but heres a 24/7 DS OSS in 45 acp it is the tactical version and the on that was designed for the Military trials, they also made one with a brown frame, and one that had a stainless slide, this one has a stainless slide that Is blackened.
