Please post some pics along with a range report after you've received it and taken it out shooting.

I'm curious to hear how it performs, especially after reading so many mixed reviews, but haven't seen any new ones posted since the recall.

The Walther Forums makes it sound like the Walther equivalent of the Gen 1 Remington R51, but that isn't saying much seeing as they consider pretty much everything that Walther has turned out in the past 3 decades to be complete junk, and basically just use the forum to brag about their 70+ year old War-Crime *ahem* War-Time pistols which they seem to be convinced are among the best ever built in spite of the fact that most WWII Era Walther pistols were of notoriously poor quality due to being rushed out the factory.

Excellent evaluation, Maloy.

For a time I was considering the CCP and PPS M2 as a possible upgrade/replacement for my PPK/S-1, but then Walther quietly cancelled the .40 S&W variants and I lost interest.

Rumor has it that Walther is going to announce a new PPQ Compact at SHOT Show, which I might be interested in depending on what calibers it comes chambered in.
