IMO If the sights shouldn't be adjusted, then they shouldn't be adjustable...

That is at around 8 yards. There is a line at 7 yards but it is not well lighted, so I move the target about a yard further out.

Very nice!! I set my targets at the 7yrd line give or take. Some of my short barrel semis I have to adjust my rear sights all the way to the right. Like Tinkering said that's why they are adjustable. My grip is the same on all my guns if some shoot left I adjust sights for center hits. I am not one for changing my grip to suit any of my handgun.

Looks pretty good to me! Besides, 5 to 8 or so yards is probably about all the further you would have to engage an attacker anyways.
