Found a new to me range close to my house. Bailey's House of Guns. Shot a box of cheap steel ammo. One target with the pierce grip extension and one target with the factory base plate. I I did better without the extension. I'll post the pics this evening when I'm home. Bonus: the range master gave me 50 round that were light strikes. Only one didn't fire and the rest did on the first try.

Not to offend anyone but I see many post about steel cased ammo not a good thing to use in your Taurus, hard on extractor, some of the steel case stuff has a heavy wax that will collect in chamber and cause problems, simply not worth the cost saving, use brass only.

Sounds like the 709 ran good for you. Looking forward to the targets.

20150408_211947.jpg left target is with grip extension. right target is with factory base. At first I thought the right was better but I see some good groups on the left. What do y'all think?

Yep the right is a smaller overall group.
