basicly the same thing i had some .38's 100 rnd bulk wwb packs from walmart.. they make a nice clean cut threw the paper.. i believe the .40's also come like that.

does'nt truncated simply mean cut off? or abruptly ended?

i beleive it's just another term for flat nose.. the 38spl's i had would best be described as a flatnose fmj.

the bulk pack .40's i seen was similar to the 38's i had.
