I posted this in the smithing forum thought it be better here

I bought a 425 4' Taurus in 41 Mag the other day. gun looked good seemed well taken care of. when I go to load it the round want to stick or grab in the cylinder. It is only in the first 1/4" or so but some of the chambers will even scratch the brass. Any one ever see this ,, can I hone the cylinder lightly or polish it maybe? any suggestions

I would advise you to polish all of the cylinder chambers. If that doesn't fix the problem send the gun back to Taurus® for a new cylinder. DO NOT hone the chamber(s) as that will void your warranty!

A polishing method I have heard but never tried is placing a cleaning brush on a drill and run in and our of the cylinder with the drill running. This will clean any buildup out as well as remove any roughness that may be in the cylinder.
