I know that practice make perfect and that we should always be aware of our surroundings and the concealment of our weapons. Sooo...
For us guys, when it is time to use public restrooms and you enter a stall for a sit down, what about your IWB holster and gun when you lower your trouser to the floor. Most stalls have a 18" open space below the stall that is exposed to the public. Of course when you begin the unbelting you want to make sure the gun is not on the side of the open toilet.
I know this sounds silly, but we all use public restrooms and will encounter this eventually.
Practical tips: After closing and locking stall door, Check gun to make sure it is snug in the holster and that the safety is on.
While turning with the gun and holster side away from the toilet (Unless you want to go fishing) Unbelt the trousers and slowly lower them below the waist. Then as you begin to lower the trouser, begin to fold the gun and holster inside the inner leg portion of the trousers. (Folding grip side down into the inner leg. When the trousers make it to the floor, the gun and holster are not seen at all from below the stall.
When the performance is completed, reverse process, but don't unfold the gun and holster until you have cleared the open space below the stall door. Once again make sure the gun and holster side is away from the toilet.
No, I dont have too much time on my hands, but I was carrying the other day and had to improvise in a crowded public bathroom.
Remember, practice make perfect.
