Until it hits the Supreme Court (again), the battle to defend and extend Americans’ Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms is not about logic, reason or facts. It’s about feelings. After Sandy Hook, tens of Americans no longer feel safe. They weren’t safe in the first place—ipso facto—but that’s the way they felt. And now they’re happy enough to surrender your gun rights so they can return to blissfully ignorance (until the next time innocents are slaughtered). That’s bad. And you don’t have to watch the above PSA from CAGV (click here for their scary ass agenda) or the Sandy Hook Elementary School choir singing at the Superbowl to know that gun rights advocates are getting hammered by the “feelings gap.” What can the pro-gun side do to win the hearts—not the minds—of the middle-of-the-road political mainstream? Whatever it is, someone needs to do it fast

One suggestion is to bring out sympathetic people who used guns to protect themselves/family. Older people who are articulate, women protecting against assault/saving their children. People with limitations/handicaps that used a gun because they had no other way to protect themselves. Many stories out their that need to be told.

Also, stories of people who are victims of crime that feel they could have avoid that status if they were armed. "Millions" of stories like this.

It frustrates me to no end at how there are absolutely no media outlets for our side to get the stories of lives saved by responsible gun owners out there to the general public. Any sympathetic outlet is immediately denigrated by the MSM as "reactionary" or "far right loonies". The left have always dismissed entities like Fox News as a de facto mouthpiece for the Republican party, or conservatives in general (like that's a bad thing). Unfortunately, we also have to contend with folks like Glen Beck, who I used to enjoy until he started contradicting himself when confronted with challenges such as "I'm an entertainer!", and outright nuts like Alex Jones.

Our constitutional enemies will never accept any news outlet that does not promote their agenda, period.
