I get a gritty sound when I pull the triger on my new .44. The revolver works fine so I don't want to monkey with it, but should I take the side plate off and try to clean it?

Remove the grips and give the Mechanism a good flushing with Disc Brake Cleaner, allow to dry, and then a good oiling with a good Lubricant! I recommend and use straight 30w Motor Oil.

Ace, have you removed Taurus sideplates before? I just did on an old model 94, but after I cleaned the gritty sounding action, I can't get it back on. Is there a trick to it? There is with S&W (position of the transfer bar).
