I've been reloading and casting for a while now but mostly for wheel guns. Whats been your experience with Taurus autos and lead bullets? Do you find them finicky about bullet shape or tight chambered? I'm leaning toward a PT111 or PT145 or both.

Thanks in advance

My PT145 has devoured a few thousand lead projectiles. It likes 'em! :thumb:

I've done quite a bit of work developing cast bullets for use in the Taurus semi-autos to include chamber and barrel imaging. I have found them to have on spec chamber cuts but over groove diameters barrels. I am shooting bullets of my design in Taurus' semi-autos chambered in 25 ACP, 32 ACP, 9mm Luger, 380 Auto, and 45 ACP and they shoot very well.

Thats what I was hoping to hear. I'm new to 9mm casting but have had success with 45acp so far.

Like above, my PT145 loves them. No problems so far with cast. I'm shooting either a Lee 230 TC or Lee 200 RNFP.
