Thank you! This is what I needed so I could put my 85 back together. It works just fine now. Thanks again.

Thanks for the GREAT Pictures! I was able to smooth the action and replace my original springs with an $8.00 set of Wolff springs. I used a 6.5 lb trigger spring and now have a double action trigger pull that is as smooth as the original single action trigger pull. When I called Taurus for help they stated that they would not reduce the trigger pull ( must be a liability issue) . Thanks again! I now have a great usable CCW.

The disassembly pictorial is worth a million dollars when you need to take your Taurus apart!

This is from a Model 905 Taurus, the 9mm version, perhaps it is different on the other small frame Taurus revolvers?

One thing I found , was that the cylinder spacer/bushing could come out of the cylinder during dissassembly, and if you put it in reversed during assembly, it will bind up the cylinder. It can be installed either way.

Here is a picture of the correct positioning for this bushing / part. The picture shows the spacer just removed from cylinder.
The stepped end, goes toward the front , facing the cylinder yoke.

on my M44 the spacer /bushing doesnt seem to have a stepped end on it!!

Hi Guys I'm new from the forum and write fom Italy.
I'm register to help a friend of mine that buy a used Taurus 627.
I think he had some endshake to fix, but at the moment i don't learn how I can do to full disassembly yoke crane, because in this photos and
reading in the forum I understand there is some differences from the models.
This evening we only remove the extractor rod, and the extractor with his spring and center pin, but the yoke is also with the cylinder.
On the backside, looking inside with a light I see this bushing (think piece nr.2 in exploited) with 4 lines.
Now what i can do ? Is necessary a tool to unscrew this bushing ? Or is inside with pressure ?
Thanks so much

In my 85, the bushing with the 4 lines is pressed into place and not easily removable. If you are simply trying to remove the cylinder from the yoke, you have to press the cylinder off of the yoke with force, or do like I did in this photo. Support the parts like shown and strike with a plastic faced hammer.

You are correct. I also had to make a tool to unscrew the threaded collar around the hammer pivot. As I disassembled the gun everything, and I mean everything fell out on the bench. I've worked on other guns, including Smith and Wesson and Rugers, but I have no idea how to re-assemble this one. Unless someone makes a video or a pictorial of how to do it I've got no choice but to send everything back to Taurus. I really don't want to do this. In addition to the expense, I still won't have the reduced power hammer and trigger return springs installed; which is why I took the thing apart in the first place. If anyone has any ideas please send me an e-mail: biker4751@yahoo.com

Thank you very much. I felt like there was something missing from my revolver. Now I know. :(
Your pics and description were outstanding. Thanks again!

Chico: I'm brand new on this site. I have a question. I bought a used JUDGE 410/45 revolver. While cleaning it, I (slightly) bent the spring on the, "J= Cylinder Stop Plunger with Spring." Can you tell me where I must go to obtain a new spring? Thank you.

Welcome to Taurus Armed, GulickBob! You will probably have to call Taurus and talk them into sending you a spring.

Or maybe, a spring from a medium or large frame Taurus would work from Numrich. TAURUS Accessories | Numrich Gun Parts
