Its not against the rules but there is a section for Firearm sales but you need a total of 10 posts before you can see or access it.

No, just wander through more threads and find places that you are able to contribute at to get yourself to the 10 post minimum and them post your For Sale thread there.

Another place to try to sell your 44 is http://www.xdtalk.com/
There's a healthy movement of used guns there from what I've noticed. Then again, they might have a policy against reposting auction adds, I'm not sure.
