I am not sure, but I did find a 731, in the current web site, in Stainless, 32 mag, nice gun. Maybe others will know more about yours. With the serial # you can contact Taurus and they can give you when it was made, and possibly more info.

Here's some of the scoop on this. Model 73. .32 Long. Can shoot .32S&W also.
Weighs 20 ounces. Discontinued being made in 1992. Came in either nickel or blued. 3 inch barel.

Condition- 100%:$175, 98%:$150, 95%:$125, 90%:$115, 80%$105, any lower and it's worth $85.
Sellier and Bellot, Remington,UMC (Remington),Fiocchi and Winchester make ammo for this.

Taurus customer service number is 1-800-327-3776.
They might be able to help you date the gun, but their records may not cover this. Some of the older first Taurus revolvers records were not kept.

Can't hurt to try though.
