I bought a set of the Hogue for My 3" ultra lite. I would not recommend them if you have the ultralight as the recoil is much more noticable and not nearly as comfortable to fire as it was with the factory grips. I think they look better but lose functionality in my book. There is another thread here from SGT Knuckles that showed how he tweaked his factory grips to be more comfortable.

I would think these grips on a steel gun would be a little more comfortable.
I have them on my SS 3" Judge and I prefer them over the ribber grips with this configuration. They are not as soft a rubber as the stock grips so I could see it being a little uncomfortable with the UL version.
As NYPD knows I have the same grips on my 6.5" Stainless, I IMHO think they might help with the UL version, as they keep your middle finger from behind the trigger guard. That always seems to be a problem for me if I am firing heavy duty loads, whether 357, or 45 colt.
THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO ON JUDGE GRIPS !! I DO HAVE A ULTRALIGHT WITH A 3 INCH
BARRELL. RECOIL IS NOT A CONCERN FOR ME AS I DO SHOOT HIGH POWER 45 COLT AND
SLUGS. ONE QUESTION,ON THE HOGUE GRIPS IS THE GRIP SCREW IN THE BUTT LIKE ON A JUDGE?? THE HOGUE GRIP IS JUST WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR !
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP !!!!
THIS WAS MY FIRST POST AND WAS MOST HELPFULL !!!!!

They were a direct replacement. I believe from memory, that the replacements came with a longer screw, but that was the only difference in putting them on.
Yup...the Hogue screw is longer but fits the same way as the factory grip. Simple.
HEY, JUST RECIEVED MY NEW HOGUE GRIPS FOR MY JUDGE UL.
SLAPPED THEM ON WHEN I WENT HOME FOR LUNCH,THEY SIT PERFECT AND ARE MUCH IMPROVED OVER RIBBER GRIPS!
THET ARE A LITTER HARDER THAN RIBBER GRIPS BUT MY HAND HOLD ON THE JUDGE IS MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE.
WILL TRY THEM OUT SAT MORNING AS MY WIFE WANTS TO TRY OUT THE TRIGGER JOB I HAD DONE ON HER SW 38 SPECIAL!

Which grip did you buy. I am only finding one for a Tracker. I also need one for an ultralite.

It's the same one for the tracker. I changed both on my Tracker and Judge. Search Results : Hogue Inc., The Best Value In Handgun Grips, Rifle Stocks and Accessories - Bar None!
