got a Gaucho from my son-in-law he used it for mounted shooting and dropped it a couple of times. the front sight was bent and when I tried to straighten it, it came off. looks like it might be silver soldered. Any hints on how to put it back on??? Chocolatehauler

Have it soldered back on by a gunsmith, or you can use some steel epoxy (like JB Weld) to do a short term repair. Either way, you have to get all the oil out. I have used brake cleaner to do so when I had a front sight pop off a revolver of mine.

thank you for your response. I tried gluing it that didn't last long. epoxy thing might be worth a try. I'd like to try solder it just can't figure out the best way to heat it up with out messing up the finish. Chocolatehauler
