Is this a new product, specs are the same as the Millennium G2, or is it just a different way of describing the Millennium G2?

From all I have heard I it is identical except for the removal of the Taurus Security System.

Thank, that would explain it. Couldn't find it referenced at the Taurus website.
Appears to have lost the single action capability as well, since Bud's lists it as double action only.

Not buying this. My understanding is that the action has not changed at all. Just a beefed up trigger safety blade and removal of the lock out (TSS).

Go to the website and look at the specs.
If there is a G2C, what are the chances we'll eventually see a G2?

No good reason to speculate. Companies screw this up all the time and have screwed up the pt111 g2's description before.

I don't think we'll see a "g2" as the new TH and TS pistols will probably be taurus's polymer pistols of choice. I sure would like to get my hands on a TH...

There is one listed for sale by one of the vendors on here.

It says it is DAO only.

The Taurus site shows the G2 with the TSS and the TH as SA/DA.

Yes, it is.

The Taurus G2C is the next development of the compact pistol from the Brazilian manufacturer. Like the Millennium, Millennium Pro and G2 before it, the G2C is an excellent choice for concealed carry applications. The Taurus PT111 G2C is packed with features making this an easy to shoot and easier to carry pistol. Do a little research and you will see that the Taurus PT111 9mm is highly touted as being a accurate, reliable, and durable while being offered at a lower price range than some of their competitors. Whomever said you need to spend an arm and a leg for a reliable carry gun, obviously never picked up a Taurus G2C!

12 Round detachable box magazine
Compact polymer frame

uhh, whatever dude. I trust someone on this forum who already owns a pt111 who has actually handled a g2c in a gun store than some description on a web page.
RScottie, did you not read what I said? I own a G2 and handled a G2C today. What LGS did you handle one at? I'd like to talk to them.

Not sure how you could tell what position the firing pin is in by dry firing but according to various sites that are selling them, the difference is that the firing pin on previous models was drawn rearward and this new system will not pull the firing pin back until the trigger is pulled.

It is easy to tell how the trigger is working by dry firing. With the slide racked like a round being chambered, the trigger is very light, hits a small wall, then breaks. If you do nothing and pull the trigger again, the trigger resistance is much higher as it pulls the striker back before releasing it. So, it is very easy to tell what the striker is doing by dry firing.

I picked the G2C up the other day and took it to the range today. I put 100 rds of 115gr PMC and 15 rounds of 147gr HST Self defense ammo to check functionality and accuracy. The gun performed beautifully with no issues, although I have to say the 147gr rounds packed quite a kick in such a small pistol.
I went to the range again tonight and the G2C performed as expected. I’ll probably put another 300 rounds thru it though to make sure it’s broke in and reliable to carry. On a side note, the G2C is DAO.
