taurus better do something quick or else they are gonna lose the budget handgun market. with companies like ruger producing less costly firearms with incredible service it will only be a matter of time before guns like the G2 and spectrum are irrelevant.

saw the lcp II for 199.00, the LC9S for 249.00, and the new Security 9 for 289.00.

at this pace their simply wont be any reason to by a Taurus other than for boutique colors and brand loyalty. especially when you consider their warranty issues. JUST SAYIN!

on another note - taurus really missed a golden oppurtunity with the G2. I told them this at both NRA and Shot Shows.

make the barrel a half inch longer, extend the grip a 1/2 inch and make it 15 rounds. lose the the DA trigger and sell it for 249.00 and you'll compete with the "holy grail" of carry pistols the G19. They just shook their head and nodded.

guess who else just figured that out - Smith and Wesson with the 2.0 Compact and now Ruger with the Security 9.
