Just curious what others think. My 444 UltraLite has been there over 6 weeks just for a missing front fiber optic sight that wasn't there when I opened the box.

I've used them twice. Sent slide, barrel etc. in several years ago. Back in about three weeks as I recall. Last time was about a year or two ago. Sent in broken part and new part arrived in about ten days. No complaints. :shooter:

I am considering buying a Taurus that's why I am here. I was wondering about Taurus's actual service record as opposed to what they hype.

I don't own a Taurus so I really can't vote in the poll.

Is there some way I can see the poll results without voting?

I have been trying to get a cylinder spring and grip screw for a M608 for a year!! Nothin. They even took a credit card number. After my fourth call I recieved a large box of Taurus & Rossi catalogs, FREE! I made a spring to work and my customer is happy but I'm not. IRISH

I purchased a really nice 441 .44 Special revolver about a year ago from an auction site and took it out to the range. The trigger was great, I had no ignition problems, but I suspected that some amateur had replaced the action springs because the trigger return spring was so weak I was continually short-cycling the trigger reset for the next shot. I didn't call Taurus to get any instructions, I just shipped the 441 to Taurus with an honest explanation, expecting to pay for the action to be returned to factory specs. They had the revolver for about 4 weeks and returned to gun to me free of charge, with a list of the items corrected. The trigger pull is not as light, but the revolver functions perfectly.

I have several Taurus firearms in my collection that I am very happy with and confidence in the manufacturer from my experience with customer service.

Hi guys.. I'm new here but have owned my pt145 since 2002. I absoloutely love this gun. However, I don't love the fact that it has broken on me twice now. First time was a cracked frame issue that Taurus immediately repaired in 2003 and sent me an extra mag. The second time was in July of this year where the trigger assembly broke. It took Tuarus 8 weeks to fix the problem and return my firearm to me. When I received my "fixed" firearm I noticed that they didn't kick me down an extra mag for my troubles, oh well no biggie. I start to break it down for cleaning and the slide is stuck! After 15 minutes of struggling with it, it finally racks. Needless to say I am completely unimpressed with the level of service I have received with Taurus as of late. Spoke with a customer service rep this morning and he was somewhat rude and standoffish. I've never experienced this bad of customer service when I had issues with my H&K. Has anyone else had any problems with Taurus's customer service? Don't get it twisted.... I absoloutely love my pt145 and carry it everyday as my c&c.

Hooookup, welcome to the forum, but don't get us wrong. :) ;)

Just report to the dungeon at Flyer's virtual office and we'll see what we can whip us for punishment. Looking at pictures of all our vactions, me singing songs, or having to right a 30,000 +word range, report double spaced and in triplicate on Flyer's virtual desk by Moday morning. ::) :-\ :'( :p ;D :D ;) :bang:   :yipee: :yipee: :yipee: :yipee: :yipee: :loco: :judge:  We can never find Flyer's virtual desk and he has the only key to the dungeon. :) ;D

Obviously I'm kidding, but do recommend some homework. Reading the FAQs,reading old threads and new should bring you up to speed if not already done.

I have called Taurus CS twice and in both cases the customer service rep. has been polite and dealt with my questions professionally.

I will also say in all sincerity that in spite of the overly long delay in my case, no-one at Taurus has ever been rude to me and I've probably called a dozen times in 5 1/2 months.

Like I said on another forum, I called them one time just to say I appreciate what they do and the great product they provide. Maybe if people did that more offen and not just call when they want to bitch at someone then the people there would not be so quick to snap at people or sound rude, JMO but hey its worth the papaer it is typed on haha

On a side note... When my wife and I got back from Florida a few months ago I stopped in at the lost baggage counter and popped my head in and said "got all my bags! just wanted to say have a gread day!"

They did not know what to think it was great ;D

I've had dealings with the Taurus customer service department on three occasions...1. returned a model 94 with a 4" barrel that had gotten so loose, I could unscrew it by hand..returned it and got it back within 30 days..fixed with no charge and haven't had any problems since..2. printed a parts order form from the website, order two pair of grips, included a personal check as payment then mailed it to the customer service address on the form..that was two years ago and have yet to receive the grips and the check has never been cashed...3. ordered several pair of grips by calling customer service direct..paid with a credit card and received the entire order within a week...go figure....I would still rate the service as 7 no complaints...good luck from the bluegrassstate..

Not sure..however, the letter was never returned as being undeliverable...I did give customer service a call about 2 months after the order was mailed..I was told the grips I wanted were on back order and they would contact me when they arrived...that was over a year ago..anyway, as mentioned in the previous posting, I called them recently and ordered several pair of the same grips and got them all within a week of paying with a credit card over the phone...blb

My Taurus PT745 needed repairs. I called Taurus and explained the problems. They told me to box it in the original carrying case and Fed Ex would be by the next day to pick it up. This was done and off to Florida it went. I figured with all I've heard that I wouldn't even think of getting anxious until 2 months past. One week shy of 2 months and a Fed Ex package arrived. Gun repaired and returned. No money out of pocket for shipping, no money out of pocket for repairs. Not as fast as Smith & Wesson, but the service was just as good. Need to go shoot it this weekend to make sure, but for now Taurus definately still has me as a customer. Color me pleased.

Ralph Allen welcome to the forums and a much appreciated thanks for the post and info.
Nice to see some actual news from actual customers.

My suspicion is that there are an increasing number of people who complain and have no real dealing with Taurus or actually own a Taurus. Then keep the complaints going. This is ke[t up as long as possible to seem valid. Then the complaint poster can keep being seen in public or go to other forums and say" see, Taurus stinks". While there are some valid complaints on this forum, there are those who are not. They're easy to pick out and ignore.
