Hi All,
Last spring I bought a 970 from Bud's Gun Shop ( I live near Lexington ).
Out of the box I had a minor issue. The rear sight was canted, but this was no big deal to me as I intended to put a red dot on anyway.
Over the summer I put 3k-4k rounds through the gun and it began to misfiring . I also noticed that the cylinder gap varied from .000 to .008
( yes one chamber touched the forcing cone ).
I took the gun back to Bud's and they sent it back to Taurus at no cost to me.
After several days I got an email from Taurus saying that they had my gun and that it would take about 2 weeks to repair it.
Sure enough after two weeks Bud's called and told me that my gun was ready to pick up.
So here are the results of the repairs.

1) rear sight replaced
2) cylinder gap now measures about .002 all the way around.
3) ran a few dozens rounds through the gun with no misfires.

In short the gun is perfect.
Taurus customer service exceeded all my expectations.

Thank you Taurus

Glad to hear this I have noticed that customer service repair turn around times have been getting much better the last couple of years.
