I've had failure to feed issues every single time I fully loaded my two original mags. At least one FTF every single full mag I shot. If I only loaded the mag half-way, it would work 3 mags out of 4 without an FTF. I sent one of my mags in to Taurus about 12 days ago. I only sent in one, so I could still shoot at the range while I was waiting. :D

FYI - I had already tried all of the quick fixes I had found on this forum, like replacing the mag springs that are made for a Para-Ordnance P12, nothing worked for me. Maybe it will for you.

I just got the replacement mag in yesterday, and went to the range to test it out.

I shot 84 rounds through that mag last night with great results. In fact, I had one single FTF, and it was the first mag, which I accidentally loaded with 6 JHPs and then 6 FMJs. After that, I shot 6 more full mags, 2 with 230 grain Remmington JHPs, and 4 with 230 grain CCI Blazer (not Blazer Brass) FMJs, and 1 230 grain CCI Blazer Brass FMJs. That was all of the ammo that I had, except 12 of the JHPs I kept for my concealed carry. I may have been born at night, but it was not last night! ;)

I even shot the Blazer (non brass) as fast as I could for an entire magazine - no issues at all!

So people, believe it when you read it. Taurus Customer Service sent me a brand new, still in the package 12 shot 24/7 Pro magazine and it works flawlessly. In the same gun, cleaned the same way, with a bunch of different ammo, all ammo that I had tried in the original mags. The magazine replacement really can fix your FTF issues.

I am going to send in my other mag asap. I'll post again when I get it back and try it out.

The new one seems to be painted or coated with different paint. The paint has a matte finish, where as the original one that I have left has a semi-gloss or gloss paint to it.

That is about it really. I took them both all the way down and laid them out side by side to see if there was a difference in size or shape of a part, and there is not. At least not a noticeable one.

Here is a blown-apart picture of both magazines. The new working one is on the left.

I did not get a micrometer out, but I do not see any difference, other than the body of the new one seems to have a matte finish and the old one seems to have more of a glossy finish.

UPDATE: I had an engineering friend look at both mags. He says that the new one seems to be coated with some sort of Teflon type material. Which would help the follower work better.

I just got back from another quick stop at the range. No issues whatsoever. I shot 4 full 12 round mags without a hitch. I'd say I can call this fixed. I've now shot over 100 consecutive shots without an issue. Before I could not get a full mag of 12 to feed without a jam.
