I think the hunting rifle market if fairly saturated. Mossberg (for example) has tried a couple of times to get into it.
Now, if they'd upgrade their pump-rifle to handle the 44 mag, 454, 460 and/or the 500 then they might have something for the brush gun/short range stopping gun group. But once again, I don't know if there's enough market for it to be worth the effort.
Or they could begin importing the Puma lever guns that Rossi makes. They're already in 454 I think. I'm not 100% that they are made my Rossi but I do know that they are imported by someone else so they probably have the rights for a while.
