I don't own one and never held the model 85 in my hand, but do own an 856UL and 605. I would guess there's a tiny amount in the cylinder thickness between the 85 and 856 due to 5 vs. 6 rounds. But aside from that, what difference is there between the length and height of the 85 vs. 856 and 605? You can also include the S&W 642 to the 85 for length, height, and thickness for those who own the different models.

There's a possibility of getting a used 85 fairly cheap, but it might not be worth it if I'm pretty much duplicating what I already have. Could be smarter to put the two bills toward a Colt or Smith. (I may have just answered my own question but would still like to hear)

The forum software won't allow me to format it properly and keeps changing it. Weight is in ounces, measurements in inches.

Here's something strange. Your post in the thread is jumbled but I pretty much figured it out. However when I quoted your post to send my response back, it's laid out perfectly in columns the way you formatted it. Go figure?

Thanks! It's exactly what I was looking for.
