Okay, so my question is simple; will the spurless hammer from an older model 85 fit and function properly in an 856?
I got my 856, 2", a while back because I got it like new for a good price, and I really like it. But I wish it was the spurless hammer version. I like to carry a snubby in my right front pocket most of the time.
I could just grind it down but I'd rather not if I don't have to. Just in case I ever want to use it for other purpose, or sell it. Which is unlikely.
I found on the big aution site that they regularly have model 85 hammers for about $40 or less, but for some reason I never see a 856 hammer on there. I kind of like the 85 design hammer better anyway.
So... will it work?
Anybody here have relevant experience with this idea?
Other ideas welcome.
