Did you get the ported version? I have been on the look out for one of those.

;DJust got mine from Buds Gun Shop and very happy with it, I did change grips to Hogue for Taurus Tracker because of my large hands, The normal grips left my little fingure to dangle in mid air. I use a Blackhawk size 0 for belt carry.

The 617 and 817UL are two great compact frame guns. I have an 817 which I recently also put the Hogue Tracker grip on. I like the ribber but have much better control with the finger grooves on the Hogue. I carry it in a Bianchi Shadow belt holster which also fits K-frame S&W's and the Ruger GP100 series. (Up to 3 inch barrels)
No on the ported verison this was the one Buds had on sale so I got it. I have a 627 ported in a 4 inch if I can keep my pants up when I wear it he he. Had to get some suspenders to pack it. I have TB= two bellies.

I put the Houges on my 617 and 627, They fit my hand and ware better.
