Just got my Taurus 608 6 1/2 inch, and plan on taking it out for some short range hog stalking here soon. I'm considering getting a rail put on it and mounting a tactical red dot for quick acquisition. Yes I know I'll look like a nut, but I'm used to using red dots. Anyone else do this, have a setup they can recommend, rail choice, etc.? Considering the B-Square mount 42306, particularly interested if anyone has used that mount on theirs.

I haven't seen too many 608's with scopes mounted on top, possibly something for a Tracker would work for you to mount up there. Whatever you do, definitely be careful hunting hogs with a .357 Magnum. You may have 8 shots, but those hogs rarely travel alone and they may have backup coming while you're reloading.

Bought one NIB yesterday. FFL transfer from out of state so I would guess Ill have it in 7 days or so.
