So the wife went to the big town shopping. Among other things she brings back a Brita water bottle with a built-in filter for me. She has one and likes it so.....

After dinner she asks me if I've tried it yet?

" Well, I didn't need any water so...."

"Here, give it to me" she says. Of course I oblige.

She takes it,opens a bottle of genuine guaranteed pure filtered water and pours in the Brita.

"Now try it" she insists

"OK" (sip,sip)

"How does it taste?" She asks

"Uhm, well, kinda like.........water"

"See" she says,"Great, isn't it?"

"Yes Dear" (SIIIIIIIGGGGGGH)

Lol ... I probably would've said it tasted like a chemical and then proceeded to ask her what the filter added to the water to filter out other chemicals...

We live above a tremendous aquifer that is over 150' deep, below nothing but sand and sandy clay. Our well water is as clear and pure as anyone can find. Yet, occasionally, my wife comes home with a case of bottled water bottles. Read the label, it's from a major CITY, and simply filtered and bottled.

Say what? But we usually have plenty of the bottles handy when we go camping.

Our city water tastes fine.
What is it with people refusing to drink tap water?
Maybe 'cause it is too cheap.
We pay .124 cents per gallon. ($1.24/1000 gallons up to 8000 gallons)

At home all I drink is tap water from the dispenser in the fridge. It does get filtered a little bit, and it takes the chlorine smell out. In the summer time our water is heavily chlorinated to keep it from growing stuff. Some days you get out of the shower and feel like you just got out of a swimming pool.

I will buy bottled water when away from home, but not at home.

The only tap water I have problems with is when we go to Florida, or on a cruise that leaves from Florida because it's filled with Florida water. The cruise I took out of Baltimore had water that tasted fine.
