He's brighter than virtually every Republican in congress. Those folks think surrender is a great way of playing defense. I don't think they know the word "offense."

Great idea, start pushing for NO gun control, pushing to get guns in school, not just standing back and saying "well I think..." In facct, that tacctic should be used on multiple issues, like fighting the MSM, attacking holder, obama, approving Trump's nominees, taxes, schools-

Unfortunitely, most of the country has no idea who he even is, because of

A: what Rollin Thunder said, "due to the media, doesn't get the airtime the anti's get." Granted, Fox news has given him some airtime, but Fox news is a premium subcription for my and other peoples TV providers, while CNN is part of the basic package.

B: He isn't part of a group of thousands of students chanting things like "What do we want? Gun Control! When do we want it? Now!" some holding signs saying "NRA is terrorists" or "NRA has blood on their hands" and this type of nonsense gets the air time, not reasoned discussion of an issue. :(

I do disagree with one thing he said, in a way, when he said,

We have to be sure we don’t have gun-free zones because 98 percent of shootings happen in gun-free zones.'”
Although I agree that some school staff should be armed and trained, I don't think that by itself is the solution. I think schools could be safer if they were real gun free zones, which very few of them are. A real gun free zone is what you have at the White House, or most courtrooms, airport boarding areas, etc. Unfortunity that would involve having armed adults checking the children as they come in for weapons, controlling access to the inside of the school, etc, and would be very inconvenient compared to what most schools do now, which is to allow students do just walk in bringing whatever. In addition it would cost more money than just passing a law or slapping a no guns sign on a door. Also some students have complained that would make them feel like they were in a prison, and we must cater to their feelings when it comes to their safety. :sarcasm:

The school shooting that happened yesterday, kid allegedly brought in a shotgun in a music case, no one bothered to check him. He shot one person, and three minutes later a school resource officer was able to confront him and disarm him, as he voluntarily gave up. Had that person decided to continue shooting think of how much carnage he could've caused.
If the school had armed staff in addition to the SRO, the situation might've been handled a lot quicker.

If you want to get the Anti-gun folks to support guns, all it would take is for a group of folks with guns to shut down their protests against guns. It's very difficult to talk bad about guns when they're suddenly shoved in your face and your on the biznez end of a firearm. Suddenly you realize the disparity of now no longer having power of your message outweighing what you're talking against. you want equal or better force. the result is you arm up. As an Aside, you realize gov't or police can't help you because they cannot save you in time. Yes I realize it's hella illegal to go and shove a gun in someone's face that is not posing an immediate threat to you, your family or property. However, if a group of folks with EBRs strapped over their backs surround an anti-gun protest and start walking to the stage; people will get out of their way. A perceived threat is often far more effective than an actual threat. At that point, the message has to be perfect. It must be cordial and friendly while being protective. Make it known that you are there to permit the anti's ranting against guns and that you are there to ensure the protection and safety of those who speak against guns. Step back and allow the speaker back to the mic under the premise that you are there to support him (or her). The optics would be amazing.

Why isn't there mass shootings at gun ranges?😁
ahh??
because most gun ranges only have like 6-12-18 lanes or so??
OK, that's all I got!
Question. What percentage of the world population today was not alive yet at the termination of WW2? How many of those have no real perspective of what true world carnage and destruction really looks like? My father served in both Europe during WWII and Korea as an officer and he refused to talk about it! My mother and grandmother would tell stories of rationing and family gardens. There young people here at home today have no real clue just how horrible it could get.

Even though I was born post war my parents lived it and it was instilled in our values.
