I have a friend in that area of FLA who lives just a dozen miles from the St Marks Powder Manufacturing facility. In fact, the direction Michael is presently heading for may have the "Eye" making landfall right where he is. As you might imagine, there is very little elevation gain and right now storm surges are expected to be at least 10 -12' and then you have the St Marks river.

Naturally, our thoughts and prayers go out to those who will be affected. Hopefully, they've all gone to higher ground. My buddy does some projects with local LE and is volunteering his help. If flood conditions are severe enough to cause damage at the St Marks powder plant, a great number of powders could be affected, and even delayed for some time. This will include all of the domestic sphericals (ball-type) powders sold by Hodgdon, Western and a few of the newer Alliant powders like 300-MP. This is pistol, rifle and shotgun powders.

If you've been thinking about buying American made Spherical powder. Now's the time!;)
