Spectrum Riding Down I-95

After over 500 rounds and 5 different brands of ammo had to send my Taurus light strike pistol back to the home of Sonny Crockett & Ricardo Tubbs for repair. Of the 5 brands the best was PMC 90 grain fmj no light strikes no Fail to feed out of 100 rounds. The others Speer Lawman,WW-White box,Hornady CD,Remington all had Light strike issues. Customer service did not question the reason for my return and issued a Fed-EX 2nd day shipping label. Did not ask about an estimate of repair time figured that is out of my control besides I have a 5 yr old TCP that's like a disposal fires anything you feed it and was/is sill the most accurate small pistol I have owned. Hope the returned Spectrum will be as good.

Let us know what they fix/replace in it. I'm having the same problem but am wary of sending my pistol to Taurus due to the lengthy repair times for most pistols.

Is there a Serial # Range for lite Strike Pistols? or is this Just thru the Complete Run of the Pistols ?

I understand your concerns about lengthy repair times. I have 1 thought of caution on that. Taurus will only pay shipping costs on returned guns for a certain time frame. I don't have experience with the issue so hopefully someone that does have experience will speak up

It seems that the guns that are manufactured in the US (currently only the Spectrum, I think) the return time seems to be quite a bit better. Keep us posted. This is the only thing keeping me from bringing one home.

My Spectrum was only out of my hands for a total of 15 days when I sent it in for the light primer strike issue. And they gave me an extra magazine for my troubles.

Don't know yet. Been busy with several major home projects, some personal travel, and an ill elderly Mother. Hoping to get to the range this coming week. My benchmark is typically getting 150 rounds through a gun w zero issues before I'll call it reliable. So, we'll see.
Keep us posted on the repair, it may help others resolve the issue.
