Picked up my sons present today.Used PT92 AFS. SS finish with gold accent and rosewood grips.Sorry can't post pictures yet but will in future.Question is what is the best thing to use when cleaning.I have heard the gold can wear off rather easy.Just want to keep it as new looking as possible.Found out that the gun was made in 2009.Looks brand new.Also after loading the mag.Found that it will hold 18 rounds instead of 17 as was told.Is this normal or did I get an upgraded mag?

The 18 round mag is probably a Mec-Gar mag and not a Taurus mag. The Taurus mag simply doesn't hold 18.

Most people like Mec-Gars the best.

The gold trim will clean up nice with just a little elbow grease and oil on a soft cotton cloth.

I use Ballistol on mine. I'm not sure how it will do with the gold, but it is alkaline and will neutralize acids, It is also good for cleaning up wood grips.
