Hi Everyone-
Here is my first post here. I have read several things and this forum is full of great info!!
I own several different brands of firearms.
I recently purchased a Skyy at a local gun show, $250 out the door!
I also read all the horror stories but the gun felt good, so I took a chance.
I brought it home and did my usual initial cleaning and making sure everything was good to go.
Well damn if I didnt break off the screw that held the safety on!
Man was I pissed!! Called Skyy who are located in Florida, they sent me a complete relacement safety with extra screws and the works, no problems. They also told me to call if I had any problems replacing the part.
Thought that was pretty nice since it was really my fault I broke the screw.
Well a couple days past and I recieved the part, easy swap!
I took the gun to the range and decided to just throw rounds down range. I threw 3 boxes of FMJ's, Blazer Brass, PMC and Winchester White box.
Not one fte, ftf-I was happy, the only real thing I had to do was adjust the rear sight!

Since them I have been shooting the Skyy as much as possible with no problems.
I cant speak for everyone because I know there are problems out there, but just like any other company that produces firearms there will always be problems.
Groups at 25' were good.
I could probably have done alot better but it was pretty cold and I wasnt dressed for it, (shorts/sweatshirt).
As pictured, last 15 rounds were split 8rnds in one mag, 7rnds in the 2nd.
For fun I tried to place 8 in the bull and the other 7 on the cross in the far left corner, this is what I ended up with.
Plus this wasnt the right type of target for this, but its all I had!
Overall, I am pleased with the performance and overall function.
I did end up with a cut on my thumb knuckle from the recoil, but nothing to bitch about.
Check out Skyyforum.com
But dont be afraid, you'll see alot of horror stories.
There are also alot of succesful stories and some great people who can help.
Customer service is A+
and I am satisfied with the purchase I made.
Sorry for the long first post but I wanted to share my experience with the company and my firearm.
thanks-Mark
