I am thinking about a Taurus Single Shot .45-70 .

Does anyone on this forum have one ? If so , would you please share your impressions / experiences ?

Sounds interesting, did not know they made one. What type action is use, i.e. falling block, rolling block, break action?

Break action , like the break action single shot shotguns .

Have owned and shot several of the Rossi break actions in rim and centerfire. They were accurate and dependable. A 45/70 should work just as well and be about the size of their .410's. The 45/70 can be loaded from mild to wild. I have a BFR, Contender, and rolling block in 45/70. The 2 handguns are as much fun to shoot as the rifle. A break action should be easy to shoot, carry, and fun.
