Many highschoolers now days couldn't spell EMT if you gave 'em the e and the t.

I'm for every kid to pass Red Cross first aid and CPR to graduate. Just think they would at least something useful when they graduate!

The Red cross first aid is OK but a lot of it is useless.
They still mandate slapping on the back for a choking victim before giving the heimlich maneuver. Some times you already know a slap ain't gonna do the job.

I love the slap.
I encounter some fat porker choking from trying to eat a steak in two bites, I walk up to
him, slap him as hard as I can in the face and tell him to try chewing his food next time.

Maybe that wasn't what you were talking about...................
