I saw a bunch of sights for sale on eBay, some of which might work on the front of my .45.

There were several different heights, but I have no idea if there is a standard way of measuring sight height so had no clue what might or might not do what I want. I wrote and asked the seller but he never replied.

Can anybody tell me the practical meaning of .170, .180, .190, etc.?

Sight height is measured from the top of the slide to the top of the sight.
