Lets just get right to it, today I took my two newest hi cap compact carry pistols out for some challenging fun. The Sig Sauer P320 carry versus a modified Glock 19 Gen 3.
I previously did an initial review on both of these excellent pistols, refer to the links below:

These two compacts are almost similar in size and capacity. Refer to the reviews above for specifications. The full carry weight of the Sig is 34.8 oz's , and for the Glock full carry weight is 32.3 oz's.

The Gen 3 Glock 19 has been modified by adding an extended magazine release ( necessary because of the CTC light/laser installed ), extended slide release, Pierce grip extended magazine floor plates ( now holds 16 rounds ), and a contoured front grip. The Sig is as shipped from the factory.

Now lets set the stage for the drill. Today was cloudy but mild with a temp of 65 degrees with a strong crosswind of 20-40 mph. Target mounted to a floating cardboard backer twisting and moving back and forth with the wind. Both pistols were carried IWB around 2-2:30. Target distance was approx 30-35 feet, today using 115 grn range ammo. No lasers were used as this is a sight drill. So what is the drill? - draw, present and fire 2 - 3 shots in under three seconds. This target is for the Sig P320 and shows both double taps and triple with a follow on head shot twice each magazine.

This target setup was the same as the Sig, but it blew down during the drill, so the last 6 shots were at the target as the wind brought it down. Lots of distractions today, phone calls, wife driving out to the range to bring me some OJ ( bless her ), the wind, a blown back and hip from falling through my raised deck a week ago. In other words perfect conditions for a stress drill. Final thoughts: Both pistols were flawless today ( both are now at 500 rounds with no failures ). Both pistols shoot POA to POI, I think the Glock may have had a slightly better hit pattern overall. But this kind of drill is really not for target accuracy, more for torso hits with speed. Both pistols were re-holstered between each 2-3 shot interval with 3-5 seconds between re-holster and draw.
While challenging, I proved to myself that either of these fine pistols are up to social work if necessary. Thanks for reading my review today, oh and does someone know the address of the broad side of the barn, I can't ever seem to find it.

Great review ! Personally I would have to give the edge to the Sig, because the Glock doesn't point naturally for me.

1313 Tumbleweed Lane, just five miles past Junior Sample's Used Car Lot. Park on the curve, follow the foot path, and you'll find a clearing with a bench and a table that can be used as a rest to sight in your firearm. Call Junior ahead of time to see if anyone else is shooting there before you go. BR-549.

I have had the luxury of shooting a few Glocks. but I just can't find one that fits :( One thing I learned when I got into pistols from wheel guns was that every pistol was different......

Sounds like a fun drill. I would have to give the win to the Sig for 2 reasons. 1st the sig is factory stock and 2nd I don't like glocks :p

Glocks always pointed high for me, but that's easily overcome by just pointing towards the groin.

15 years with a Glock 19, I got fairly good with one. 4 weeks after acquiring my first P320C, I was doing better with the P320.

After the upgrade, I like the P320 even more. I should see if I can get my AR-9 to run with P320 mags.

I be a machinist, that makes me dangerous. :D
