Anyone ship anything for repair to Taurus using USPS?
I was told by Taurus things had to be shipped to them by FedEx or UPS.
$51 to ship a PT745 to them. FedEx - Of course, has to go next day air.

If you have a 01FFL I would say USPS is your best route. If not, then use UPS or FedEX, it's legal reasons that they say that mostly. I just took mine mack to where I bought it, since it was in the same town. Paid my $9 he charged me for shipping and let him handle it.

I can have my dealer send it in through USPS, but I was wondering since Taurus told me only UPS or FedEx, what do they do when a gun comes to them from the post office. I'll maybe try that. Can't see spending the $51 FedEx wants to send one gun.
Thanks.

Having read that these outfits gun shipping rules are mere policy and not law I boxed mine up, packed it tightly, put on the address labels and hauled it into UPS. When they asked me what was in the box I said it was a paper punch. It shipped for $16.

LOL. A .45 makes one heck of a paper punch.
