In Chicago. Security guard holding shooting suspect at gunpoint, responding police shoot and kill him:

https://www.foxnews.com/us/cop-accidentally-kills-security-guard-at-bar-in-chicago-suburbs

Story headline says "accidentally". Unless the cop has one of those new AI guns that decides when to shoot, it was no accident. He sees a man with a gun holding another man on the ground and assumed the worst. The moral of the story is, as has been said in quite a few posts, just because you know you're the good guy with a gun, do not assume any one else does. When the police show up make yourself as non-threatening as you can. Otherwise you can end up like this.

Sloppy, sloppy reporting; I'd like to know if the security guard (God rest his soul) was in a uniform.

According to the comments, the security guard was wearing a uniform with "security" printed in large letters and visible.
So sad indeed! I wonder how they are going to spin it? How could they not see the uniform?

It would appear the security guard was never given time to identify himself or given any verbal commands, one of the responding police officers just immediately sized up the situation as the guy on top with a gun as being a threat, and then blew him away. This incident will no doubt go down as yet another innocent black man gunned down by police.

And as usual, there is a huge divide between what the state police are claiming versus some witnesses, to include an alleged hat with the words SECURITY emblassoned on it. It's not just what the security guard was wearing, it's also what the cop allegedly did prior to shooting.

Here is the only thing known or admitted to at this point.

Two Midlothian officers were called in as back-up, with one fatally shooting Roberson.

Police have not said if there's police footage, or any other video of this shooting.
Tuesday marked the second day of protests outside the Midlothian Police Department and they will continue Wednesday.
Pastor Williams will be leading the demonstration and news conference at city hall at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

State police asking for witnesses to come forward with video and information. You can call (847) 294-4400.
